Hm - I disagree. First - each side could have their own AEs after August, so the 747 can still be drawn down after then.

The FARs don't come into place here, IMHO - the AEs are only for scheduling training. Prior to SOC, the crews can't fly together, that's all. I can't see why they can still be trained to fly other aircraft.
