Messing with your credit score is no joke. I think that it shouldn't be too hard to get a law firm interested in a class action suit against XJT for acting this way. They are obviously just searching for more money, and found a quick way to make a few bucks by selling bogus debts to some collection agency. It really ticks me off to see a company screwing their former employees like this. I don't know what kind of damages you could prove, but it might be worth looking in to.
