OP,

UPS hires an average of 100 pilots per year. I understand that they have somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 applications on file from pilots that already meet and greatly exceed the minimums. I don't know what the numbers are for FedEx but I bet they are simmilar.

So, If you are comfortable with those odds then perhaps you should include playing the lottery in your plan?
