AA usually gives us our #s on the taxi out. VERY rare to get them before pushback. Occasionally there is a snag at loads or the crew chief and we have to delay takeoff waiting for them. Just the way it is... I'd rather have them at the gate.

I was in BOS last week and we were taxiing. A JetBlue Airbus that had just pushed and was calling for taxi said they "need to go somewhere for a full alignment 10 minutes" I raised my eyebrows, but hey weirder stuff than that happens at AA. I was pretty sure it wasn't a maint taxi, since they were using a flt #.
Also an AApology here, in the hotel van there was a real nice JB CA from FLL. I was trying to chat with him as we had common friends, but my CA whom cannot shut up and claims to know everything and knows everyone
for that I AApologize (not for him) but that we didn't get to talk.
