Default A little comic relief....

A quick disclaimer: I realize that for some who may read this, the hilarity of the following story won’t apply, and to those, I congratulate you on the sheer luck of timing with which you were blessed. Save the flaming. For the rest of us, get a load of this:

So I'm taking a series of skills assessment/abilities profile tests to try to get some idea of what else I could do if I decide to take a break from this "profession" and develop otherwise marketable skills. One of the tests is a work-values assessment in which you finish the statement “In my ideal job it is important that…”. You’re then given twenty conclusions to the statement to rank in order of importance. Here were my top five:
  • …I would be treated fairly by the company.
  • …the job would provide for steady employment.
  • …the pay would compare well for my level of education.
  • …the job would provide opportunity for advancement.
  • …I have supervisors who provide good management.
After doing so, the program generates a list of possible occupations that most closely match the values you listed as being important. Care to guess which career was on the TOP of my list based on the aforementioned values?

Airline Pilots, Copilots & Flight Engineers.

I nearly fell out of my chair on that one. In a related thread:

Where are these "industry experts" getting this information?!
