So the company (scheduling) knew from 21:00 on day 2 that we were going to need another FA on day 4 to operate out of TX. And yes, while it was the company paying for the ticket, someone on the company side dropped the ball and the ticket didn't get purchased. That is when they asked the FA to put the ticket on her credit card. After she replied with a definitate "NO" the company did what they needed to do to purchase the ticket.
Keep defending he company. Poor another glass....
Well, if that's the case... I'm just going off what I was told as it was happening. And, for the record, I'm not defending the company... I'm defending my (ex) coworkers and friends, who haven't been as fortunate as I to move on to a better place. Like I said, I really enjoy not having to deal with that stuff anymore. And, also for the record, I've seen just as many cases of pilot incometence as I've seen from schedulers. Can't even begin to count the amount of times I've heard "You only got 7 hours of rest, and reported, knowing you were illegal?" Sometimes circuses have audience participation, my friends.
