well, I'm pretty good at figuring out rest, since that's pretty much all I did for nearly my whole three years there. I'm not saying the high-speed change is never a factor (I stayed out of those issues)... the ones I'm talking about are the 10 hour layovers that run several hours late (and I'm sure you can figure out at least one of the city pairs involved), and the crew reporting at the original report, knowing they needed at least eight.

TurboDog: You have a very valid point. That's why I made it a point to put very low stock in what the higher ups told me (quite often they had a isse of finding a certain body part with both hands). The things I was hearing came straight from the people working the issue... schedulers making the changes, the hotel people making the reservations (at least that was the plan).
