OK I shouldn't have been so hard on the co-pilot but I do believe her lack of communication regarding the prop pitch led to the crash IMHO. Instead of being defensive to my comments and retort with insults perhaps we could move ahead and discus this prop pitch possibility....

Since my previous post was deleted and I believe that this thread will be closed soon I will re-add what I stated before.
When the flaps are moved to 5 degrees the condition levers are moved to max or 1020 np. This is standard operating procedure and EVERY 400 pilot knows to compensate for this increase in drag. There was no need for her to announce this. Infact if you were REALLY new to the airplane the sudden deceleration and
HUGE increase in noise is a dead give away.
So to discuss this theory further is not needed. Yes the prop increase led to increased drag, which in turn led to quickly decaying airspeed. Again this is Standard Operatiing Procedure and as such is not the cause of the accident. It's the same as saying that putting the gear down, increased the drag, which inturn resulted in decaying airspeed and that it is her fault for not announcing that she put the gear down when he asked for it.
