I once was extended technically for 4 days. Got 2 days at 150% and 2 days at 200% plus an extra duty period pay for each additional day. Ended up getting 41 extra hours of pay when I actually was supposed to be working the whole week anyway doing hub turns. My Monday one day trip ended up being a 5 day trip. I dropped the Tuesday thru Friday trips each day rather than being "subbed" so that I could collect the overage. Just wished I had been in a wide body rather than the Boeing.
I have a better one! Jun '01, I have R24. I was assigned a 2 day trip to start on a Sat, the 5th of 15 consec. R days, over 36 hrs in advance. About 24hrs in advance, Training bumped me off the trip. I was then assigned a 6 day trip on the Sunday, that ended with a DH out of ANC. Once on the trip, I was extended 4 more day to get back to MEM on the final R-Day near midnight. After looking at my pay, after being extended, I saw that I got RLG credit for the 2 day trip that I was bumped from. That trip footprint overlapped the trip I eventually flew by 24hrs. They had assigned a RSV trip overlapping time I was already getting credit, so I contacted Contact Admin. That trip went from a 6 day RSV assigned to a 10 day RSV trip, to a 6 day DFT trip exteded 4 days with the last 2 at 200% (66hr trip worth 138hrs). I was dropping trips left and right for the rest of the year!
