Read sect 4.BB.7. It says any extension into free time at base is payed at 150% for the first 12 CH and 200% for anything over 12 CH. No limit to how much they can extend you. Now, we have a limit.

I once was extended technically for 4 days. Got 2 days at 150% and 2 days at 200% plus an extra duty period pay for each additional day. Ended up getting 41 extra hours of pay when I actually was supposed to be working the whole week anyway doing hub turns. My Monday one day trip ended up being a 5 day trip. I dropped the Tuesday thru Friday trips each day rather than being "subbed" so that I could collect the overage. Just wished I had been in a wide body rather than the Boeing.

I have an idea. We need Bob C to get a side letter of agreement on this clarifying all our issues and limit the company to being able to do this only once a month and allow you to drop trips to make up for the inconvenience (remember when they're lean they deny drops 'insufficient reserves.') Pow! Done!

We have a limit now gents. I can't tell you how many times I've told them no to an extension for whatever reason. You call them on it and they back down. There something that even scheduling knows and that is your days off are yours (they have days off too). Now they will use the 48/96. They just will.

Would you please give the section that says we can turn down an extension in the field.

You just just say no. Watch what happens. It's all a negotiation. There's a lot of things that we as pilots assume are so but if you call the comapny on it they will back down. Just spoke to someone yesterday who was on reserve, and they wanted to extend him in the field a couple of days and he said he had things to do on his days off. Guess what? He got his days off. Maybe there's an implied decency (a visceral truth) in not making you work on your days off. With the new TA that's gone. Let's get a side letter of agreement so they can't do this more than once a month (i.e. like floating rday).

""]I agree 100%. I've been extended before and there is no limit. Now there will be. Stop making such a big issue about stuff you don't seem to be familiar with. Did you notice mach84 and oilpressure joined about the same time and each sound exactly alike? Minor issues that are distorted to make them sound terrible. Are you a FedEx pilot? Do you even know what's in the current contract? Have you read the current contract?""
The TA is the current contract, with minor changes. An agency Shop Industry shame.
