In my 6+ years as an "regional" airline F/O...I have flown with high time Captains that should not have been Captains, some should not be allowed to fly airplanes, period. On the other side I have heard Captains tell stories about how they just flew with a new hire low timer and they were very impressed. Numbers are just numbers, look at the indivudual if you want the real story. One persons 1000 hours is not the same as the next persons 1000 hours.
