If I remember correctly he wrote the CEO and explained his entire family history and what had caused him to become an alcoholic in the first place and added something about always wanting to fly the 74. The CEO brought him back on for something like 9 months prior to his 60th birthday. How long he was brought back on for is the only thing I can't remember from when I heard him speak.
