If you check your history the last US pilot be nicked was UAL pilot in LHR in 2009

Over the years, there were pilots of other carriers from other parts of the globe busted in LHR as well as BHX, and MCT.

With that being said, security at UK airports are on the prowel.

Best way to avoid problems, and keep your job, be responsible about your intake.

They got a Jet Airways US Expat a few moths ago as well.

Heck I see them sniffing us as we go though security.

Too bad it didn't go to 12 hours vs 8 hours.

That's why they always try to get you to say something to them. They want to check your breath. They'll ask you how you're doing, or say good morning, but they really don't care because it's ALL A TRAP!!

The reason many companies went to eight is simple. It is a legal issue. If a company requires more time than the FAA and an employee gets popped, it opens them up to a couple different types of lawsuits. By going to eight hrs and matching the FAA Reg, it washes the companies hands of any legal recourse. Smart for them. Some saw this as a way to have four more hrs of drinking, but all it did is save someone else's six.
