Nikon 55-200mm VR The D40 works great for me but at times I wish I could have afforded the D40x due to the crop factor. The D40 is the perfect size for my flight bag.
Your pics have always been gorgeous, so that relieves me that you use the D40... unfortunately, I am still such a camera newb, I don't know anything about lenses/settings/etc. I'm not even sure what the 55-200mm VR stuff means in a practical sense.
