I really question someone's judgement when they can go to work in a safety related occupation where they are being used by management to destroy others careers and it isn't affecting their ability to do their job to the best of their ability. They are really a scab who hasn't had the opportunity to cross a picket line yet or like I said has poor judgement.
It's not that simple and you're not seeing the big picture. Hence, I question your judgement. I'm pretty sure that organized sick outs are illegal. You're right that your employer can't disclose information about sick calls, but what your employer can tell your prospective employer is whether he would recommend you or rehire you. Lastly, if you're going to be sick for, let say a month, I believe you need FMLA paperwork filed by a doctor or a nurse.
