While it is true that NOW they have little (nothing) to say about it; They DID have alot of opportunity to say about it when they negotiated a contract in 2003 that covered 99 seat aircraft..... the problem is they said nothing excpet, OK.
They should have refused to bargain that size aircraft, allow it to go to arbitration, and the arbitor would have used "industry standard," or "industry average." both of which would have shown that it is a mainline aircraft, not a regional.
The arguement that pilots always have NO control whatsoever over their equipment is an outright lie. While it is true in most cases, it isn't always true. This is one of the times it isn't.
