Anyone who has a job in aviation at this time (Regional or Major) is extremely fortunate, and no matter where you may be (Regional or Major), you have it better than someone on the street. This is my point. Good luck to all on furlough everywhere, and I hope this economy turns around soon and we can all be back in the sky soon.
how can you say that when regional FO pay is as low as it is? I can go get a regular job while on furlough and make as much if not more than i did as a regional fo and wait for my recall. Heck i can sit on unemployment at home with my kids for a year and do better than i would as a regional FO at some carriers. Regional FO pay sucks, and i can say that because i've been there, done that.
BTW, thats not a put down thats just my perspective.
