Mike Woosley is a darn good guy and pilot. I flew with Mike on his FIRST day off IOE as a Beech Captain...And, my first day off IOE as 1900 F/O. Oh, and did I mention there was the remnants of a hurricane moving thru the area. Last, but not least...We were both flying routes we were unfamiliar with. AOO-PIT-BLF-BKW-PIT-AOO. Quite a day, but he was a
real gentleman and even let me fly a leg! I was scared spitless, but managed to make a good crosswind landing in PIT.
As for the rumors...I think that it is unlikely that CAL is going to dump Colgan. It is more likely that we will actually be given more flying on their codeshare. The economics of the Q-400 are a difficult argument, and putting the 3407 fiasco aside. We are slowly getting things straightened out, gaining more corporate and technical knowledge on the "Q" and IF and only if management is willing to work with the pilots it is possible to right this listing ship called Colgan Air.
