No, I was not inspired by much of any leadership...at all. Except once in the Reserves. You were not in my shoes and did not see what I saw...which is too much to go into here. Suffice it to say it was not only my opinion but many of my other Squadron Mates. Do you really want me to go into it here? Won't this "tarnish" the "image" even more?
My post was merely an observation of why the government has "bad" people in it. Not, ALL bad, just bad (some). Obviously we need a Military. As long as we can attract good folks to it, like many of the readers/posters here - with the right incentives (future Airline Pilot) we will be "OK".

So the only way I can be a good officer is if I never get out? Last time I checked we all leave the military no matter if you want to serve forever, you either die or one day you reach max time in grade/time in service. I'll still have a family to clothe and feed. Currently it doesn't appear I'll be able to meet those obligations as a civilian pilot, but are you saying none of us should look? Is a SEAL somehow slamming the military if he retires and takes his skills to a contractor and triples his salary? Does that somehow translate to bad leadership?
And yes you did play the "race card." I'm glad you have such concern for the second officers on crews with lesbians.
But, oh wait, you signed a petition? Holy ^%$#!, move over Rosa Parks make room for Marsea.
The original post was about a poor military leader being fired for, get ready for it, being a poor leader. Kind of stands on it's own. Your post was about....
You've slammed all military pilots, all military, how brave you were to sign a petition at an airlinje, etc, the list goes on too long. But somehow your reticent to discuss the problems of your military service? Yes, I'd LOVE to hear about how hard life was for you. So far nothing you've offered tarnishs the image of the military, only you.
