So how is it that comair is consistently listed as the most profitable regional airline in the country (
BTS | First-Quarter 2009 Airline Financial Data: Network Airlines Report Sixth Consecutive Quarterly Loss Margin), but they still claim that they are too expensive. This may reflect being paid predefined rates while reducing costs, but doesn't this show that comair would be able to charge lower rates while still maintaining an industry standard profit level without any types of concessions from employees?
I would wonder if some of this data is just accounting bs; does anyone have more info on this?
