Another great Urgent ALPA email today...
We continue to hear rumors of improper, illegal protest actions—sick outs and slow downs—and have also heard rumors of divisive jumpseat wars. The earlier rumors of possible illegal protest actions prompted your MEC to issue a letter earlier this month condemning any illegal responses and warning of the significant harm that resulting injunctions could cause this group.
Rumors at Comair? No. They don't have balls to protest or call in-sick.
I encourage all Comair pilots to join me in protesting this change through legal means. If we are unsuccessful in changing this policy before it is implemented, we will continue to lawfully fight for our travel benefits. We are planning to leaflet and picket in the near future with events planned in CVG and ATL on July 3, 2009.
LOL! Nobody will be able to come down to ATL, because they can't get on the flight because of the new flight benefits.... Ha!
Furthermore, a jumpseat war would only create a divide between Comair and Delta pilots—who had no part in this process.
For once I actually agree with then Union on this one. That is the dumbest idea ever. Yeah, let's deny DL pilots the jumpseat.
