I do think there is some culpability that needs to go to the pilot group. In agreeing to pay scales for a particular type/size of aircraft you empower management to engage in these activities. If you don't want to fly them at a particular rate, then don't agree to that pay scale.
(Yes, I understand many current RAH pilots were not around when the last agreement was signed, but the union as a whole agreed to those terms.)
Don't forget that when that last agreement was signed they were flying t-props. No way anyone, at any regional, had any vision of 190's that far out.
