1)Please call a Rep.
2) Everyone pay attention here...The 100-110 are going to be furloughed regardless of any LOA. Period.
3)The LOA was not a tool to mitigate furloughs--it was a tool to handle the subsequent training events after the 100-110 were furloughed and the resultant displacements.
4)I think you need a better understanding of "great leverage"--call your rep and ask what the costing was.
The process works--pilots called/emailed their reps. The LOA was not ratified. I have a nickel you didn't call a rep, ask for a full rundown and clearly state your position--if you had you would realize how uninformed your post was.
I will say the comment you quoted should have been worded better but it should have said "we are going to furlough 110 pilots and the company wants to save some money do you think that new crew rooms are worth it?".
So keep your nickel because I have had numerous emails and calls between my rep and the MEC chair. I never said the LOA was a tool to mitigate furloughs I know there is no way around us furloughing the pilots but it is a tool to get better things out of the company then crew rooms that should have been done without an LOA. I know the cost of this MCB the company thinks they can save around 400,000 dollars if they run the classes at the right time. I would be happy to PM you all the email that I have from the Union rep and MEC chair....
