Colgan is what you make of it. I am home based, get top 3 schedule and fly with great people. Everything else is being worked on and will get better over time. People need to have that attitude when coming here. I want to smack some of the people we have here when all they do it moan and complain all the while doing nothing to improve conditions.
Juice, I miss you, haha. Thank you for all your wonderful posts!

Ever notice that since February Colgan pilots have been the ones getting trampled on over and over again? Maybe we are tired of it!

Everyone has things they are looking for in their job, and most jobs you get back what you put in. Sure my own company is in negotiations for a new contract and there are some things Id like to see changed, but even if it stays the same its good enough for me to stay there a while longer and not be totally disgruntled. I think people get defensive because people behind computers ussually spit garbage they really have no knowledge on, and Juices point is very valid at any carrier. If your going to bash another carrier, just dont go there with a chip on your shoulder while on APC your bashing them
Absolutely!! Everyone can complain about the airline they are at, and how much things suck. But the truth is simply this. The economy is in the sewer right now, and until things improve, guess what ... YOU STILL HAVE A JOB WITH A PAYCHECK, no matter how little it seems. Try being one of the furloughed guys and not getting ANYTHING and see how much life sucks then. At least you still get in the air and get paid, as little as it may be, to do what you love (if you do not anymore, then maybe you should leave). Always remember, the grass always looks greener from the other side. Work is always what you make of it. Right now honestly I complain more than I used to because I am based in IAD instead of IAH, and have a horrible commute to work and it makes things a lot harder. That and the schedules are awful up here!
