The squeaky wheel gets oil... Are we supposed to be happy if we have a job that pays crap because there are others who don't even have a job?? While I understand that counting our blessings is important, it is no excuse to accept what cards we have been dealt with a smile, JUST because others are less fortunate. We need to keep fighting until we get something reasonable for all, and set the bar higher. I know i'm tired of using my time away from work to calculate the money i'm going to save for buying the known name brand, or the store brand, even if it IS only a 30 cent difference.
