I knew of a guy that went into the interview, FAILED his ATP written for the interview...ITS OK LETS CONTINUE..Then he had to call his instructor in the middle of the interview (not sure how he pulled that off) to ask him how to enter a hold...ITS OK LETS CONTINUE, moved on to the sim...and WELCOME TO COLGAN! This guy had only 350 hours at most. His first job was Colgan. One of his instructors told me about the phone call.

I actually WORKED with the guy after he got his instrument training done and we worked on holds for close to an hour because he couldnt figure them out with out the GPS... THIS WAS AFTER HIS INST CHECKRIDE. Of course this is becoming a common occurance in the modern training world...guys need the magic box.

I hope we dont see a Colgan crash involving a hold.
