I understand what you are saying to a point. Students learning to get their instrument tickets PAY to fly and even they know to look at the airspeed indicator, especially when the flaps are coming down.
This accident is NOT a justification for why low time inexperienced pilots need to make more money. It is a justification of why 121 regs should require more expierenced FOs that the airlines would be forced to pay more. Perhaps 1500 TT and 200 ME would be a great starting point. These low time guys are not WORTH higher pay.
