Everyone fails checkrides or a pc sometime in their careers (I failed CFI ride). I still got hired. I'm sure the FAA setting standards that anyone who works for a 121 carrier never fail anything in their past. It's impossible to ask for that (everyone who hasn't failed is at southwest )
