so if a 121 pilot has a bad day and fails a PC or some other training event, he/she should not have the opportunity for advancement? I know pleanty of pilots who have busted something at one point or another in their airline career. Should they not be able to move on to a better company at some point? Everyone fails checkrides or a pc sometime in their careers (I failed CFI ride). I still got hired. I'm sure the FAA setting standards that anyone who works for a 121 carrier never fail anything in their past. It's impossible to ask for that (everyone who hasn't failed is at southwest
