You guys are not feeling the pain. You aren't furloughing.
This discussion has turned into mainline vs regional. It's been talked to death. The routes we are loosing are purely regional routes. Stuff mainline would never fly. I just don't get how so many mainline guys can stand for the type of language RA is using. I don't see how you guys can believe his brainwash. He's an excellent lawyer and his lawyer talk is pursuasive!
I am not speaking about ALL mainline guys. I know a lot of you see through his bs.
Once again, I am frustrated by the "we are doing well...well enough that we haven't cut pilot jobs" attitude by management. That's bs and I don't want anyone to be sucked into the false claims.
Stand up for your brothers and sisters at the wholly owned.
I can only hope you do not feel the same "pain" in your short career that I've had in mine at DAL. I wish furlough on no one, as I know how it feels. But to say we (DAL) have not felt the pain is a very stupid statement.

You do remember regionals grew while mainline furloughed, right? You do understand that junior pilots at DAL are VERY concerned about losing(or in your case, loosing) our much higher paying jobs that we have worked YEARS to get to? Do you want me to share the pain because some of your 250 hr wonders are getting furloughed? I wish they weren't "f'd", but, there is no comparison to what we have gone through.

Did regionals "stand up" for us mainline furloughs like you are seeking? Ask Comair pilots if they stood up for DAL furloughs. What do you suggest we do? I hate all cuts, but in this economy, preserving mainline jobs is priority #1. You'll thank us later(btw, you're welcome).
