There IS a difference between the two... if they actually have a valid option contract then the end result is the same and it would make no difference... However, that is not the case. For them to have a valid option contract it is OVER six years old, and would have had to have been "bought in" several times by now to keep it valid, and that would show as line items to retain unexercised options... they have never shown ANYBODY any option, so why are you so inclined to trust anythign AMR says?

No, I think they probably did have them, or were negotiating for them at one time... I just think the options expired long ago... and that this whole thing is just about as accurate as:
Eagle is for sale (nobody would have ever bought it with those restrictions - hence it never really was for sale)
Eagle will not be furloughing (per Peter Bowler December 2008)
followed by...
Eagle is furloughing in May due to being overstaffed (from what I hear you aren't)
Eagle is disadvantaged due to it high seniority workforce and management would like as many as possible to leave.... so:
They open the office of professional development to get senior capt's to leave
The offer an early buyout package
They negotiate a TA with APA, AMR, and ALPA to help Eagle CA's go to AA by providing stipend pay to make up for lost wages while a new hire at AA, but this falls apart when AMR WON'T show the CRJ options..... again !
They offer a second early buyout package to senior Captains
They say they can't afford two bases in the northeast only 180 miles apart so Boston will have to close.... then they open a Kennedy base right next to the still open LaGuardia Base... so, they still run two bases in the northeast... so, perhaps they lied yet again... especially since they told your negotiating team they would close BOS and LGA and run only JFK, or you guys could cave in and give them a codomicile agreement in New York and get to keep a base in Boston. Lies, lies, lies.... and more lies...

You seem to have a real hard-on for Eagle, so my only remaining question is what has lead to all this anger and rage. Clearly, you're off the map in the "anti-Eagle" department, so there must be some reason.
Were you fired for cause or did you fail training ?
