I think the wholly owned carriers will eventually grow again as the non-wholly owned carriers contracts are up for renewal. The problem is that short term pain will be felt. I don't understand why you would get rid of any aircraft right now as the economy improves. Age 65 is still the biggest career killer for current pilots, it moves the furlough threat to an older age which makes leaving your current carrier more difficult.
