I think it was a joke...
When I was a Citrus 717 driver the 'heavy' 737 guys & gals would call us RJ drivers...
I enjoyed that airplane, probably the most uncomfortable cockpit seats in the industry but a great airplane overall...
PS. I still fly RJs or the smallest airplanes my current airline has - 757s LOL
