XJT ERJ's are not equipped with stairs, and need external stairs or a jetway for people to get off. There are also no emergency slides. If ground handling refuses, now what? How would you get everyone off if say the APU catches the tail on fire? Are you going to sit there hoping that it doesn't spread and kill everyone? Or are you going to find a way to get people off and have a more comfortable marshmellow roast?
