Heard the crew was on the second of back to back 11 hour days with several "breaks" intermixed throughout their day including a 2 hour break before their last flight at 11pm. It's interesting how a whole PILOT thread can go by and this has not been brought up once.

As for runways... Up until only a couple of years ago Alaska was flying 737-200s into 3900' Dutch Harbor Alaska. Got the chance to jumpseat it once.. wow.
