Offered Delta to match that lease price and they declined. Saabs all go away then as our leases expire 2010. This may be true, but what happens if/when gas goes back above 150/barrel? I know that tprops were a saving grace to regionals/mainline when fuel shot up just because of efficiency. IMHO I see tprops making a comeback in the future.
Also Saabs are still being sent to the paint shop. It isn't cheap to paint those things. I don't see why they would paint them especially if they're only going to be around for another year.
I look at Delta like Brett Favre, just when you think you have it figured out...BOOM! You get what you least expected, so we'll just wait and see.
