I agree with the fact that Comair will not see an increase in flying with the demise of Mesa if it ever happens, but CVG might continue to be a Comair base if Mesa is no longer flying for Delta out of CVG. On the other hand, if Comair/Delta wish to get rid of most of the senior pilots, they would move all the flying to JFK/LGA and close CVG as a base.
It won't get rid of the senior pilots anyway. A lot of the guys on the 70 are in CVG strictly because the 70 pays more. Many of these guys commute from FL and will go to JFK if the 70 ever goes. It is easier to get to JFK from FL than to get to CVG.
