The majority of the MEC is of the standpoint that we are still learning and working out the bugs with the PBS system, therefore they think it's premature to opt out of PBS. While I can understand that viewpoint we have til Dec to decide to retain or toss PBS. However the MEC, from what I've heard, does not appear to have any intention of sending it out to the membership for a vote. Most are senior guys and PBS is working for them... besides PBS was their "crown jewel" in our new contract. Personally I would've spend my time concentrating on eliminating the current loopholes in our old contract, getting 13 days off for lineholders, 11 for rsvs and BorB.
