I'm pretty sure they have no problem with this. For the amount of flying they do in the Northeast they have to be able to do IFR. They also already have the EAS routes in NY. So they definitely have already been through this before with EAS and received approval. Correct me though if I'm wrong.
Oh I believe you completely, I'm just interested in the mechanics of how. The guy I asked to clarify is a 9K capt. Ive talked to before....
