It is not a free ride. We have an agreement that they can ride on us. This has been negotiated by our union. The gate agents and FA's have nothing to do with itl.
Maybe I won't get the dreaded "don't have the time..or there is already one ahead of you..or,,sorry this flight is weight restricted.." response next time. I like my jumpseats...

My take is that you are destroying the long established jumpseat agreements. You are now paying for preferential treatment. It's all about you and
your jumpseat as you stated above. Just like our draft and carryover flyers when we are under 4a2b. Pilots that suck up draft or suck up draft when contract negoiations are going on do the whole group disservice for their own benefit.
