Just gave a "fin" to a gate agent as I was running down the jetway to get my jumpseat. These folks are overworked and underpaid IMO,, I just wanted a way to say "thanks" for they're extra effort in processing my request for a free ride. You are right Busdrivr. But the problem is mainly in MEM when jumpseating out of MEM. It is also a problem in the cities that FedEx pilots jumpseat out of. I have fought this battle in my own home city and when I try to jumpseat out of other cities that FedEx pilots live.
