I completely agree with you, it's hard to imagine a chain of events that would cause an experienced crew to overfly their destination. It could be a career ending mistake, or there could be more to it. We've been in aviation long enough to know how investigations are conducted. Unfortunately they don't occur at internet speed which allows us to get bored and speculate.
All I'm asking in this thread is that working pilots to give a line crew the courtesy of withholding judgment
in public until we know more. Search the FedEx 80 thread or the Colgan 3407 thread, this is nothing new for me. Cheers!
