So who cares what happened in the cockpit? Someone list a reason why in the world these two guys should not be fired (permanently)? We've all made mistakes (I certainly have) in the cockpit and luckily I didn't crash or get violated but "it could happen to anyone" is not a legitimate excuse. This sort of lack of situational awareness is completely unprofessional and flies in the face of the qualities REQUIRED of commercial pilots - no excuse they could come up with in line with their statements of record would justify not firing them. They have no business flying commercial aircraft.
