Thats exactly the slippery slope with all of this. There are alot of things that happen that get covered under the ASAP programs and investigated under the appropriate chains of command. However this event didnt get that process because the media took off with this "story". I agree these guys were blatantly ignoring the aircraft and should likely be fired but the FAA pulling their tickets right away just shows that these guys were just made examples of.
