The point that I was making is that even though the comapny calls it a signing bonus because of the current tax laws, they treat it as retro pay towards anyone on disability during the ammendable period, based on how many months of the 29 ammendable months they were on active flying status. If it has nothing to do with back pay, then it should not matter if a pilot was on disability from jan 05 - jun 05. The other point was that if it is a signing bonus, then the pilots who had a right to vote on the contract are the signees. Not the non members who are just along for the free ride.
