Back to the original conversation, jumpseating on xjt. I found the printed jumpseat form for jumpseating internationally on xjt. I wish I could upload the image here, but the only way is to post a link to a webpage. Anyhow, lines 268-276 state,

"OAL INTERNATIONAL JUMPSEATING IS PROHIBITED. DO NOT USE THE 6:CRW2412/DGO-SMITH/JOHN.IAH ENTRY TO CREAT JUMPSEAT LISTINGS FOR OAL PILOTS TRAVELING FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S. TO THE U.S. THIS ENTRY MAY ONLY BE USED TO ADD COEX AND CO PILOTS TO THE MANIFEST."

APIS DATA MUST BE ACCURATELY ENTERED TO PREVENT TSA VIOLATIONS AND FINES. VERIFY WITH THE CREWMEMBER THE ACCURACY OF THE DATA ENTERED BEFORE SUBMITTING THE FORM."

As stated before, you can definately not jumpseat from outside the U.S. to the motherland on Xjet, but going out is not an issue.

As I recall correctly the main issue with jumpseating on Xjet is that you need to be listed on webjump and then APIS. But im a gear slinger, not a gate agent.

I carried this in my flight bag for 2 years commuting from MMMY via IAH. I stopped commuting from MMMY for the last 2 months, so there could have been a policy change in that time. Every time I tried to jumpseat to MMMY via IAH I was told I couldn't because of policy changes, but when I showed them on line 270 it doesn't say you cannot jumpseat USA-MEX, I always got a seat.

If redcoats had issues getting this to work, just have to find one that knows what they were doing. My experience is that the redcoats in the Pod of B79 were pretty good at getting me on my flight home every week for 2 years. So for those of you who say it is not possible, im still waving the B.S. flag, unless of course the policy changed in the last 2 months. Good luck!
