Sorry Guys...
I just looked up the current policy on our internal computer system.
ONLY XJT pilots and FAA or NTSB inspectors are authorized to jumpseat internationally (INBOUND or OUTBOUND) on XJT.
It specifically PROHIBITS Continental/CO Micronesia Pilots, XJT/CO dispatchers, any XJT personel other than pilots, and all OAL (other air line) pilots or dispatchers.
The reason from what I understand is the jumpseater's name needs to be added to the crew manifest, no matter where they are sitting in the plane, and for whatever reason, we can't put anyone except XJT pilots on the manifest right now, only XJT pilots or gov't inspectors can be listed on it. And if one of our guys is on it, they cannot use the crew lane at customs, they are still considered a passenger.
I have no idea, but maybe the reason behind this is the way some insurance policy somewhere is worded? XJT's insurance on int'l flights may not be valid if anyone other than company pilots or required crew are shown on the manifest? I dunno.
So, until something changes. Sorry.
