The recalls are just a ruse by the company to avoid a sick out of the January furloughees between now and the end of the holidays. Come January 5th, the furloughs we recommence. Company crisis averted.
This isn't my theory, just thought it was an interesting angle.
I’m assuming that most of the pilots that got the recall letter will elect a January return date. That date will bring most people back online after the holidays. How would the company benefit from that according to your angle?
