May i also ask (this may sound nieve) do you ever get reassigned? Do you ever worry about answering the phone on your day off if it's crew schedule?

At AA we all have 5-7 days a month that are your scheduled days off, that if you answer the phone and are sober then "Tag you are it" We call them DO's.

There's just a bunch of discussion amongst AA pilot whether SWA work rules could actually work for us or against us. Mind you it is just discussion on our union message board.

I don't know any SWA pilots and was just interested.
You do get reassigned occasionally, but I would say it's definitely not the norm. I am approximately 500 from the bottom on the SWA seniority list and I'm on reserve. A reserve line value pays 90 TFP's a month with 15 or 16 days off depending on how many days are in the month. As a reserve line holder you can't be JA'd on your days off. On my days off I can pick up as much flying as I'm legal for based off of the 30/7 and 100/30. This year I have averaged 13-14 days of each month, around 105 TFP's a month and as of today I've blocked 630 actual flights hours and my credit TFP for the year thus far is 1140 TFP's. I'm currently on third year pay which is $89.71 per TFP. A very nice spread from what I've actually blocked to what I'm paid for.

Our trips pay the following minimums:

1 Day Trip: 6.5 TFP
2 Day Trip: 13 TFP
3 Day Trip: 19.5 TFP
4 Day Trip: 26 TFP

You basically get paid the higher of what you block each day or the number of hours on duty times .74

Hope that helps some.
