Not to mention if the travel center (skw) is closed and you need to authorize someone, you're screwed. you can still edit a leg on the existing PNR though and it will stay authorized.
Even though the website says it is authorized it doesn't always show up as such at the gate. I got someone stuck in O'Hare over the weekend because of that.
