Default United Express Pass Travel

My question is simple. If you work for a UAX carrier, what are your pass travel arrangements on UAL?

I think it depends on what your company negotiates, but SKW has unlimited free (with an annual fee) coach class nonrev and a mileage fee for premium cabins. We get six UAL buddy passes, but they are PITA to use compared to DAL.

Correction: I was talking about round trips. We do get 24 companion passes, each of which is valid for one leg. If your buddy connects through a hub that works out to 6 round trips per year. If you don't connect, you could get 12 round trips.

unlimited for spouse, children, and parents.

24 annual space avail companion passes. to use those, we have to list the pax info on the company website, and then have the travel pairings authorized with the employee travel office

Not sure about long-haul, but for domestic flights the "companion passes" are a joke. They usually cost about as much as buying a revenue ticket...

Not to mention if the travel center (skw) is closed and you need to authorize someone, you're screwed. you can still edit a leg on the existing PNR though and it will stay authorized.

one can't ever simply ask/answer a question on this forum without getting an ignorant response.

Even though the website says it is authorized it doesn't always show up as such at the gate. I got someone stuck in O'Hare over the weekend because of that.
